Did you know that September is National Suicide Prevention Month? Join advocates and community members who are working together to promote suicide prevention awareness.
If you need someone to talk to or you are in crisis, you can call or text the 988 Suicide Crisis Lifeline at any time. A 24/7 chat also is available at 988lifeline.org/chat.
Locally, there is support to turn to if you need help. Local resources include:

Mayor Richard Strick gathered with Youth Services Bureau Staff on Tuesday, September 17, to learn more about suicide prevention and awareness. The City issued a proclamation this week declaring National Suicide Prevention Month in Huntington.
We would also like to encourage everyone to participate in YSB's 13th annual Walk for Hope this Saturday, September 21, at Huntington North's multipurpose track. Registration begins at 6 p.m. with the event to follow at 6:30.
