New home construction is a key indicator of local economic growth – and something that’s become one of our community’s most significant goals. In 2024, Huntington’s Community Development & Redevelopment Department office issued permits for 52 new homes in our city. 

Huntington has steadily added more than 160 new residential units in the past five years. Commercial and industrial investment has been strong alongside residential growth. Combining both, $181 million in permitted construction has occurred in Huntington since 2020. Watch for more to come!
