Traffic Infraction Deferral Program


Criteria to Participate in Program:
 
1. No conviction for a moving violation in the past 12 months from the date of the new infraction.
 
2. No misdemeanor driving convictions in the past 5 years from the date of the new infraction.
 
3. Have not participated in any pre-trial diversion or deferral program in any county within 12 months from the date of the new infraction.
 
4. No more than 4 current points on your operator's license.
 
5. Not hold a commercial driver's license (even if you were not driving a commercial vehicle at the time of the infraction).


6-Month Program

Eligible offenses:
Speeding (1-15 mph)
Any other 2-point violation (Point Table)
 
Cost: $192.50 (payable upon entry into the program)

12-Month Program

Eligible offenses:
Speeding (16-25 mph)
Any other 4-point violation (Point Table)
 
Cost: $252.50 (payable upon entry into the program)
